Some more facts on Battlefield 1943 have been released by a site whom was able to try it out at the New York comic convention. They were able to test it out and in turn have some nre information to release on the game play of Battlefield 1943 Pacific.

The game is expected to be released in the Summer (US time) and should be around the $15 – $20 price range and will be a download size of roughly 350mb.

There however are some major changes in the game play that some previous users of the series may have trouble adjusting too.

  • Battlefield 1943 will only feature 3 main classes:
    • Infantry
    • Riflemen
    • Scout
  • There will be no heavy medics or heavy weapons classes.
  • Player will have auto-health (possibly means you will heal over time).
  • Players will have unlimited ammo.
  • The map is more destructible (you are able to blow parts off the buildings).
  • The vehicles are easier to maneuver and control.

Basically what it appears EA is trying to do with Battlefield 1943 is to give everyone a fair chance rather than an anti-tank for example being disadvantaged in close quarters combat. There is no longer need for medics as you heal automatically and the unlimited ammo means you can actually shoot without worrying about reloading.

The graphics and physics engines are also greatly improved from Battlefield 1942 and you are actually able to move around more freely without being stuck. There is also the possibility of more content if the fans are there for the game.
