Mikael Hedberg (An engineer at Dice’s studio), has recently made a post on his blog about the users and gamers current perspectives on what little we know on Battlefield 1943: Pacific.

He mentions that users have been making comments about the small number of players in each game (24) and the number of maps on release (3). These users are obviously thinking that Battlefield 1943: Pacific will be a simple game that will only offer a very small and cheap thrill. However Mikael, is trying to let it be known that Battlefield 1943: Pacific is more than just a cheap thrill and in fact is a very entertaining game and in fact he has of course played it himself and has enjoyed it.

There is mention that BF 1943 does not fit in with the currently released games in the Battlefield franchise and that it does not seem to appeal to previous users of said games. The fact is that Dice works on multiple Battlefield titles at once, and BF 1943 was actually started before Bad Company 2.

In his blog post he mentions seeing a preview for an up and coming [Battlefield] title, and the following are his thoughts after seeing the preview.

Compeltely blew me away. They’ve locked down a perfect concept and created something incredibly impressive to demo it

Of course no mention can officially be made on what the contents of this game may be, however there is mention that 5 Battlefield titles are currently in development, and if my math is correct Battlefield 3 may very well be under way…

The blog post discussed in this article has since been removed for the Dice staff members blog.
